Piri piri should not be confused with red pepper. It is a rare plant used in some fragrance compositions. This plant, which is believed to have shamanic virtues, grows the Amazonian forest of Peru. It is used by the Shipibos Indians to make love potions. Our fragrance supplier Stéphane Piquart explains its history in an unpublished documentary presented in the following video:
