Traveler’s tree

Traveler’s tree or Ravenala (Ravenala Madagascariensis) is native to Madagascar and can reach over 10 meters high. It produces a very abundant sap that inhabitants extract with machetes. A single machete can recover about 1 liter after the rainy season, when the tree is drenched. Thus, it is called the traveler's tree, as it was able to quench the thirst of travelers as they arrived in Madagascar after a long journey.
