Kado opens on a pure, vibrant light. The sparkling, bitter Yuzu from Japan is the first sensation, softened by the roundness of Sweet Orange. Then, the fragrance slows its rhythm. The heart settles with infinite delicacy, revealing a transparent floral accord of cherry blossom and jasmine, a florality present but never sugary, traversed by the vegetal and soothing note of sencha tea. The final trail is a serene imprint, where the mineral and resinous swirls of incense intertwine with the woody and clean structure of vetiver.

Treasure of Japan, the Yuzu is a unique citrus fruit with a complex fragrance, between grapefruit, mandarin and lime. Its essence, vibrant, bitter and incredibly aromatic, brings an unparalleled lightness and sophistication.

The journey takes us to the mountains of Shikoku, where the yuzus are hand-harvested in winter. The fruits are immediately transported to small local pressing units to extract the essential oil using a cold process, a method that preserves all its freshness and complexity. Yuzu (Citrus junos) is a citrus fruit originating from China, introduced to Japan during the Tang dynasty. It has become an iconic ingredient in Japanese culture and gastronomy. Kōchi Prefecture, on the island of Shikoku, is the largest producer of high-quality Yuzu.
Uses of Yesterday and Today
Key ingredient in Ponzu sauce and many pastries, Yuzu is also a symbol of the winter solstice with the Yuzuyu bath tradition. In perfumery, it was long a confidential note before achieving worldwide success for its unique freshness and elegance.

Yuzu is a magical but fragile citrus fruit. I used an essence obtained by cold pressing to preserve all its sparkling and zesty facets. The challenge is to make it last. I combined it with woody and musky notes that act as invisible supports to prolong its radiance.
Yuzu is the starting point for Kado. We wanted that typically Japanese freshness, both vibrant and meditative. The Yuzu from the Kōchi region is the most renowned in the world for its aromatic complexity. It's a note that awakens the mind and prepares it for contemplation.

From medicinal drink to lifestyle choice, tea is a cornerstone of many cultures. In perfumery, the 'tea' note became popular in the 90s, bringing a new freshness, more vegetal and more zen than traditional Eau de Colognes.

Green tea is globally recognized for its antioxidant properties. Olfactorily, its scent is associated with relaxation, stress reduction, and improved concentration.

In the ceramic bowl, the water gently simmers, The green leaf unfurls, releasing its firmament. A vegetal fragrance, a calming peace, The silence that settles, the mind that consents.
Recreating the scent of Sencha tea is an exercise in subtlety. I used a Mate absolute for its herbaceous and dry base, which I brightened with very specific green notes (cis-3-hexenol) to evoke the fresh leaf. A touch of marine notes and a hint of iris for the powdery aspect complete the accord, creating a sensation of pure, vegetal water vapor.
Tea is the soul of Japanese culture. We wanted this note not as a fragrance, but as a sensation. The Sencha Tea accord brings this vegetal, almost mineral dimension, which is at the heart of the Japanese aesthetic of 'wabi-sabi': the beauty found in simplicity and imperfection.

Jasmin Sambac (India (Tamil Nadu)) · Heart note
Different from its Egyptian cousin, Indian Sambac Jasmine offers a less animalistic and more green, almost solar sensuality. Its fragrance evokes the fresh flower, with facets of orange blossom and green banana. It's a luminous and joyful floral note.

The flowers are immediately transported to Robertet's extraction plant, located in the heart of the plantations, to guarantee maximum freshness and olfactory quality. Native to the Himalayan regions, *Jasminum sambac* has been cultivated in India for centuries. It is known as 'Mogra' and is deeply rooted in Indian culture, used as an offering in temples, to make garlands for weddings, and to scent hair.

Jasmine Sambac is a joy to work with. It possesses a natural greenness that gives it a lot of modernity. I used it to bring a rich floral texture to the heart of the fragrance, while remaining within a register of transparency and light. It brings the floral body without crushing the delicacy of the cherry blossom.
For Kado, we wanted a jasmine that would support the luminosity of the fragrance without weighing it down. Indian Sambac Jasmine was perfect. Its natural 'green tea' facet dialogues beautifully with the Sencha accord, and its florality is more joyful and less narcotic than that of Grandiflorum.

Incense (Somalia) · Base note
Sacred tear of the desert trees, incense is one of the oldest materials in perfumery. Its scent is resinous, mineral, spicy and slightly lemony. It's a note that elevates the spirit and brings a spiritual dimension and lasting freshness to the composition.

The harvesting of incense is an ancient art. Harvesters incise the bark of the Boswellia tree, which then 'weeps' tears of resin. After several weeks of drying on the tree, these tears are harvested by hand. It's a story of patience, of respect for the tree, in a most hostile environment.

Frankincense, or Olibanum, is the aromatic resin produced by trees of the *Boswellia* genus, which grow in the arid regions of Africa and the Arabian peninsula. I love incense for its duality: it's both a very tenacious base note and a top note, with its hesperidic freshness. I used a distilled essential oil that highlights this sparkling and mineral top note, to create a breathing base that brings light and space to the composition.
Incense is the spiritual touch of Kado. It evokes the silence and serenity of temples. We have chosen an incense from Somalia, renowned for its purity and clear, rising notes, to bring a light background freshness that is not heavy, but rather airy and meditative.

Vetiver (Haiti) · Base note
The backbone of Tumbao. The Haitian Vetiver, with its woody, earthy and subtly smoky facet, anchors the fragrance and gives it unparalleled depth and elegance.

Our adventure takes us to the Cayes region, in southern Haiti. This is a story of resilience. Entire communities live off this root. To smell the powerful scent of the freshly unearthed root, dug by Behave's partner farmers, is a humbling lesson and proof that another sourcing is possible.

Originally from India, vetiver was introduced to Haiti where it has become a crucial crop, both for perfumery and for the environment. Its deep roots effectively combat soil erosion, a major issue for the island.

In India, vetiver roots were woven into mats or screens which were sprinkled with water to cool the air. Today, it is a pillar of luxury perfumery, both masculine and feminine, for its structure and elegance.

I used a very pure quality of Haitian Vetiver to highlight its notes of toasted hazelnut and grapefruit, while controlling its earthy side. This is what gives it that elegance and modernity.
There is no great woody fragrance without a great Vetiver. The one from Haiti, sourced by Behave, is for us the most beautiful. It brings that dry and refined structure that balances the roundness of the rum and tobacco. It is the signature of the hold and the commitment.

Kado - so soft, so kind and loving, I feel it as the best version of myself, in a bottle : ) Really a signature for me. Any woman would be transported to a magical garden wearing it, it is so tender, subtle, but very well present for a long time. You can sense it, but you are the one who is wearing the perfume, it is not fighting with your personality and not shouting like some cheap scents (and of course not causing headache at all, on the contrary, precious ingredient yuzu from Japan is well known for its well-being properties), it is elegantly and charmingly accompanying you and elevates your feelings (hence your confidence and image as well) to another level. Belle découverte car je cherchais un parfum clean. L'odeur de KADO me plait beaucoup et sur ma peau, elle ne reste pas trop intense et diminue au fil de journée. Je trouve cela plaisant car elle ne devient pas écœurante. Elle dure plus longtemps sur les vêtements, ce qui est aussi très agréable.
En revanche, l'imprimé rose du flacon a complètement disparu et se désagrégeait après seulement quelques semaines d'utilisations.

Comment recharger le flacon avec une recharge 100mL ?
Si vous souhaitez remplir le flacon du voyage 11mL ou 50mL reachargeable avec une recharge de 100mL suivez ces étapes :
- Dévisser la pompe du flacon rechargeable 50mL ou 11mL, dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre (vers la gauche).
- Placer l’entonnoir dans le flacon à recharger. Maintenez-le un peu surélevé afin qu’il y ait un appel d’air.
- Verser le contenu de la recharge dans le flacon avec précaution. Une fois le flacon rempli, retirer l’entonnoir.
- Revisser la pompe sur votre flacon. Bien reboucher la recharge 100mL. Vous n’avez plus qu’à vous parfumer.
Comment recharger le flacon avec une recharge 200mL ?
Si vous souhaitez remplir le flacon du voyage 11mL ou 50mL reachargeable avec une recharge de 200mL suivez ces étapes :
- Dévisser la pompe du flacon rechargeable 50mL ou 11mL, dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre (vers la gauche).
- Visser l’embout "entonnoir" de la recharge sur le flacon à recharger dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre.
- Une fois bien vissé, le flacon se remplit tout seul grâce à l’appel d’air. S’il ne se remplit pas immédiatement, agiter légèrement la recharge pour aider le parfum à descendre. Attendre que le flacon soit plein. Lorsqu’il n’y a plus de bulles dans la recharge, le remplissage est terminé.
- Dévisser la recharge par l’embout en le maintenant bien.
- Revisser la pompe sur votre flacon. Vous n’avez plus qu’à vous parfumer.
Point d’attention : Lorsque vous manipulez la recharge, faîtes attention de ne pas dévisser l’embout "entonnoir" de son flacon 200mL.
Conserver votre recharge à l’abri de la lumière et de la chaleur, afin de maintenir la qualité de votre parfum.
